Erfgoedlogies Erve Ensink – Schoonebeek
This characteristic agricultural barn is situated on a quiet cobbled street, surrounded by historical cultural scenery with alternating historical Saxon farmhouses (being protected townscape). This farm has been in the family for generations. After a recent, drastic renovation, the former stable had been changed into a charming and comfortable B & B. While heating and double glazing were introduced, the thatched roof, the wicker work and the original oak roof trusses stayed neatly intact.
Guests have the detached former barn all to themselves. Therefore, privacy is fully guaranteed.
On the ground floor are the domestic lounge and dining room with kitchen, and the toilet.
On the first floor are two guest rooms. One with a shower and a freestanding bath, which makes this place extremely well suited for a company of four persons.
The B & B has been equipped with all modern comforts, up to full cooking facilities, and has a private entrance and terrace, and large garden.
In the yard fruit products are made with fruit from the orchard and the vegetable garden.
Jams and fruit spreads are also on the breakfast table of course.
The farm has been in use till this day.
Being awakened by a crowing rooster, watching the threshing of the grain, strolling on the paths, smelling the freshly mown grass: it is all part of the experience here.
