Papendrecht is in the western Netherlands, in the province of South Holland, at the crossing of the River Beneden Merwede and the Noord River. Rotterdam, Gorinchem, Moerdijk, Breda, and Dordrecht are nearby.
There is a lot to see along the Dutch water canals in the Alblasserwaard polders. There are many unique villages and cities that are worth to visit, like Nieuwpoort, Sliedrecht, Hoornaar and the fortified city Gorinchem. Nearby is the worldfamous Kinderdijk area with the nineteen, 17th century, windmills.
For a touristic visit we reccomend the historical city centre of Dordrecht, Museum Van Gijn, Boymans van Beuningen, Euromast, Dutch Architecture institute and a Rotterdam harbor tour. How to get there ? Dordrecht and Rotterdam are easily to reach with the ‘Waterbus’, this is a elegant, comfortable en extreme fast ferry-service in this region.
Bed & Breakfast ‘La belle Epoque’ is easy to reach and nearby highway exits of A15, A16, N214 and N3. Ahoy’ Rotterdam and Evenementenhal Gorinchem can be reached in 20 and jaarbeurs Utrecht in 40 minutes.
