Visit our family run guest house, built in the 1800s, at the centre of the beautiful spa mountain town of Menzenschwand, near St Blasien and Feldberg in the Southern Black Forest area of Germany. A stones throw from the Swiss and French borders allowing easy travel to Alsace, Strasbourg, Lake Constance and Basel. Whether you prefer 'hotel type' services or a self-catering studio apartment, this is the perfect base for happy holidays - summer or winter! There is excellent skiing with beginners well catered for at the village ski school. Children and well behaved dogs are welcome. There's more to the Black Forest (Schwarzwald) than cuckoo clocks and cake so come and experience the amazing alpine scenery, great shopping, fabulous cuisine and wines for yourself! Visit during Advent, maybe on one of our special Christmas packages, to experience the magic and atmosphere of the world-famous Christmas markets. Our family run guest house situated in a picturesque mountain spa town has guest rooms to suit every party. Singles, doubles, twins and family suites all comfortably furnished, warm and cosy. It goes without saying that our rooms are guaranteed to be fresh and clean on arrival.
Most rooms are en-suite with shower, wash hand basin and WC. Some have facilities just a few steps along the corridor, with a wash hand basin in the room. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided.
There is a sunny guest lounge for the benefit of all our guests with comfortable sofas, TV/DVD player with a choice of films for you to borrow. We also have an English book library, board games and guide books for your use.
We can provide packed lunches, afternoon tea and evening meals by arrangement. Whatever you would like just ask!
