Villa Lavanda is situated in the countryside of Apulia at 60 km. from Bari airport and 1.5 hours from the airport of Brindisi. Verycentrallylocated to explore a big part of Apulia and even Matera in Basilicata.

The first floor is entirely reserved for our guests with 3 bedrooms with a double bed and 1 room with 2 single beds. There is, if necessary. a cot.

Down the stairs to the guests’ floor you will find our guest-information center with a PC, Wi-Fi throughout the house, tourist information and a book bank where you can borrow, leave and exchange books.

For all guests there is a robe and some slippers for in the house and a picnic basket to take along. Herein you will find a plaid, beach towels and all the necessities for a picnic. Even folding chairs can be borrowed for your trips.

Villa Lavanda as in is its name, is surrounded by lavender, an herb garden, cactus garden, grapes, that we use to make a delicious marmellade for your breakfast, and many other beautiful plants. Also 2 ponds.

On the 3 porches you will always find a nice spot with a book and a drink and on the covered veranda we usually serve breakfast. The Do-it-yourself bar is also located on the covered veranda.

We are known for our extensive and varied breakfast. We like to tak good care of our guests in the holidays before they start the day, whether it's here, to one of the many beaches or visiting the most beautiful places in Puglia.

The flights from Maastricht, Dusseldorf-Weeze and Brussels-Charleroi take 2 hours and 20 minutes and with the use of robes, beach towels and the possibillity to do laundry here to run it is also possible to travel with hand luggage only. Thera are also daily flights from London and several German Cities en France to Bari.

The rooms, beds, pillows and bed linen are kept very clean as you can aspect at a better B & B.

Every day there is a beautiful sunset, but the stars and the moon are much more visible and more beautiful than in Northern Europe. Look at this with a nice glass of wine at hand and watch the owls and bats do their evening hunt.

We have3 bikes that you can rent and we are developping walking – and biking intineries.

We receive Dutch TV (everything in original language) and the main Englisch language news stations and later this year we hope to install a tv for our guests in case they wish to watch tv.

GREEN PAPAYA:

Herein you will find a very special Mediterranean version of the traditional Dutch box bed (double) with built-in fan, a sitting area, en-suite bathroom with shower and views of fields and farms.

A ROOM WITH A VIEW:

In this room 2 single beds, but the necessary privacy. The bathroom is en-suite and there's a sitting area.

The view is similar to Green Papaya.

This room is perfect to share with your friend (s), your mother, your father, your brother or your sister and is also often asked for by parents traveling with children.

LA PRINCIPESSA:

With a double bed, in which you, of course, sleep like a prince (ss). Nice bright room, lots of closet space, sitting area, original art and decorations. View of the grain-mill and Masseria (farm) La Mandra.

The use of our most beautifull bathroom, with bath and shower, shared with the room on the other side of it, Mt. Lavinia.

MOUNT LAVINIA:

Our most spacious room and beautifully decorated with original art. The view is similar to La Principessa.

All rooms have air conditioning and heating, are fresh and clean, and there i s also a fan available

Smoking is prohibited in Villa Lavanda, but on the veranda smoking is permitted provided it does not interfere with other guests.

All rooms are equipped with a smoke alarm.

Rates*

For Green Papaya there is a minimum stay of 6 nights or else a surcharge of 35 euros.

The other rooms have a minimum stay of 2 nights and 1 night at a surcharge of 5 Euros.

The rooms ARWAV and La Principessa cost for use by 2 persons from October till may 70 euros per night and 420 per 7 nights and for 14 nights the price is 840 euro.

Green Papaya and Mt. Lavinia cost 80 euros per night, 480 euros per 7 nights and 960 euros per fortnight.

In the months May, June and September this is for ARWAV and La Principessa 80 euros, 480 euros and 960 euros and for Green Papaya and Mt. Lavinia 90 euros, 540 and 1,080 euros.

In the months of July and August, prices for La Principessa and ARWAV 90 euros, 540 and 1,080 euros and for Green Papaya and Mt. Lavinia 100 euros respectively. 600 and 1,200 euros.

All this for by 2 persons.

In case of single use, you pay 50% of room rate + 20 euros per night.

Until 31 March there is a 10% early booking discount for the months of July and August and in general 10% if you book your room(s) at least 6 months in advance.

If 2 couples of friends book the rooms La Principessa and Mt. Lavinia together for at least 6 nights, a discount of 10%.

And, as the above summary shows: pay 6 nights and sleep 7 nights and pay 12 nights and sleep 14 nights.

For room Mt. Lavinia it is possibly. to acquire the single use of bathroom "Kilmore Quay" to at a surplus of 30 euros per night and 180 euros per week.

Renting our bikes cost € 8.50 per day per bike or part and you can use our washing machine including detergent and ironing equipment to for € 5.00 per wash.

On the day of arrival or the night before departure, it is possible to reserve a meal.

Breakfast

Included extensive and varied. With the booking confirmation we will send you a form where breakfast preferences can be specified as well as the measures of the robe and slippers. Breakfast can be served inside or outside, as you wish, and is normally used between 08.00 and 10.00. If you want to make an early exit or have an early flight, we obviously will serve you an early breakfast.

Dinner

Is not included, but can be reserved on the day of arrival or departure along with the booking. An extra large meal costs € 28.50 and slightly less extensive € 22.50. This is inclusive of water and 1/4 ltr. Wine.

Car park

Free in front of or behind (more shade) Villa Lavanda on site.

Bicycles

We have 3 and these can be rented for € 8.50 per day (part) per bicicle. Good locks and panniers are available.
We are also working with bicycle and walking trails.

Pets

This is difficult because we ourselves have 3 dogs and 2 cats.
For a special case, you can always contact us, because we are definitely animal lovers.

Smoking

Not inside or in the rooms. We have smoke detectors in the rooms. Outside on the veranda is allowed, provided it does not interfere with other guests.

Disabled persons

Not for wheelchair users, but we have easy steps that are not steep at all.

Internet / wireless access

Is present. A PC exclusive for our guests and WiFi throughout the house.
