Murganheira is a small village located between forests, with eucalyptus and pine trees, close to the Serra da Estrela, Açor, Lousa, Buçaco and Caramulo. Murganheira belongs to the council Pombeira da Beira. It´s located between Porto and Lisbon, in the County Beira Litoral. The nearest town is the university town of Coimbra. Coimbra is approx 40km South of the B & B.
In the area are many different activities available, such as: mountain biking, hiking, horse riding, fishing, quads, paragliding or just walk in the abundancy of forests.The region is famous for its culture and nature.The many dams and river beaches (Coja, Sarzedo , Mondego) are worthwhile visiting.There are springs with fresh cooling mountainwater everywhere. Ideal for touring by motorcycle, mountainbike or car.
