The central location and easy access make Noord-Beveland the ideal place for a short or longer recreational stay. Situated near the world-famous Delta works and surrounded by the North Sea, the Eastersheldt and theVeerseLake, Noord-Beveland is a real paradise for people wanting to avoid mass tourism… and the friendly residents will really make you feel at home.

The coast is never far away and has something to offer everyone of all ages. Sun-worshippers will enjoy the clean beaches. Hikers can wander along the shoreline. Enjoy the peace, tranquillity and space! Zeelandis a perfect place to relax.

If you love nature, there are fantastic walks among the dunes. There are many nature reserves in the immediate vicinity, where you will find special plants and birds. And if you love gardening: amaze yourself in the large varied rosegardenofKats, where you will find more than 1000 varieties of roses!

Also the active ones amongst us, will be in their element on the island.Zeeland is of course the water sport holiday province that many water sport fanatics have discovered. Whether you are a sport fisherman, surfer, a water skier, or a competition sailor there is always water that will suit you.
Are you a lover of extreme sports? In Zeeland there are special beaches where you can enjoy kite surfing, beach surfing and stunt flying ( there is a possibility to hire surfboards, surfer's wetsuits, canoes and sailing boats etc) Did you know that divers from all over Europe come to the unique National Park Eastersheldt to dive. They love to see the mating of the catfish.

There are also numerous opportunities for recreational activities on land, such as walking, cycling and horse riding through the many wildlife areas and polders surrounding the lake.

Zeelandis a real biker's delight! Over here you will find an extensive network of cycle-paths. You can choose to take a defined tour ( a theme route), but it is also very easy to map out your own cycling itinerary. You can make a tour along the beach, through a forest, through the fields,. Feel the wind in your hair and the sun on your face! And enjoy the landscape.

Zeelandhas many interesting spots. A visit worth while is the theme park "Waterland Neeltje Jans", located on the former artificial island in the Eastersheldt. But also the wonderful Berkenhof’s tropical zoo and butterfly garden is a must see. You will be surprised by the large variety of butterflies, birds and tropical plants. Or the Arsenaal with its superb aquariums. Or Mini Mundi where you can see the island on miniature. Cities like Goes, Middelburg, Veere and Zierikzee are nearby and are interesting places with a rich history. You will find many beautiful historical buildings, old city walls, small pictoresques harbours, interesting museums etc. They also have a very nice shopping area and lovely terrasses.

Whether you prefer to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside, want to be active on the water, or wish to take in the culture that abounds in the very old towns here, your stay in the heart ofZeelandwill always be a success.

All over the year many events take place inZeeland: not only sports events but also markets, antique fairs, garden fairs, art events, demonstrations of old traditions. These events are surely worth a visit.

"Het Wisske": is suitable for 5 persons, but but you can benefit a reduction of 20% if you come with 2 persons in low season!

You will have your own private entrance.

In the hall you have the possibility to place your bicycle or a pram/buggy.

On the ground floor you will find a bright dining area with 6 chairs and a living area with 1 sofa and 2 armchairs, television (with also some English channels), internet facilities.
The room has 3 windows.
The kitchen includes a gas cooker with 4 rings, an oven, a microwave, an extractor hood, a fridge and a small freezer compartment. a microwave, senseo coffee machine and a water boiler.Offcourse the cupboards are fully equipped. So everything is there for a comfortable stay.

On the ground floor you will also find also a large private walk in shower with wash basin and separate toilet.

Behind the old big shed-doors I have created a "loggia, a small indoor-garden/sitting area.You can enjoy the morning sun, while having your breakfast

In the attic you find two separate bedrooms.
One bedroom with two single beds side by side. The other bedroom has three single beds.

Normally I rent the house "self-catering", but if you want to have a breakfast: then please consult me! I am happy to serve you a breakfast.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour en Zélande, et dans ce gîte "Het Wisske", plein de charme, et où l'accueil est très chaleureux. Addy, la propriétaire, parle parfaitement le français, et nous a très gentiment donné toutes les indications pour visiter le région environnante.
